Citizens of most countries need a visa to visit the CAR. Exceptions are citizens of these countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Gabon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Israel, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia, Nigeria, the UAE, the Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, the USA, Chad, Equatorial Guinea.

An electronic visa is available only for tourist trips. You can find information about visa types on the CAR Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

A visa on arrival can be obtained only if it was pre-arranged at a CAR diplomatic mission abroad.

An electronic visa cannot be extended either inside or outside the CAR.
